Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachyov

They are a lot of politician leaders that the history will be mentioning them like in U.A.E Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan who was the founder of U.A.E and build it. In Russia Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachyov who was a Russian politician, also he was the last General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and the last head of state of the USSR, serving from 1985 until its collapse in 1991. This person had a lot of favors on the society and his name needs to be mentioned in history and society and this was the main reasons that encouraged me to write about him. Also, there is one more important reason why did I choose him, is that he is not known by my many people in our society, and his attitudes made me curious to know more about him and I would like that all people to know more about this great person and how he helped the society to live in safer world. In this essay, I will explain to you what he did to live in a safer world.

First of all, Mikhail attended the cold war that was between US and SU, and he achieved and tried hard to end the cold war and his effort didn't go away because really he was the main reason of ending the cold war because all the leaders of Russia couldn't help and didn't know how to deal with USA except Mikhail and for that he is loved by the society of the SU people. Some of his other Achievements are that he reduced the amount of money used in military and focused more in improving the economic in Russia. And try to spend more money to improve the person income in Russia.

Secondly, once up on a time Russia was in a very bad situation were there was no food, no agriculture or jobs and at he same time there was a competition on buying weapons between US and SU and every one was spending a lot of money to buy more weapons and win the competition except Mikhail preferred to spend his money in better things that benefit people and improve the economics of the country. Which tell us that he was caring about is the society, and makes them live safe.

In conclusion, Mikhail is one of the best examples that benefit the humanity and had a lot of favors on society for that he is a role model for a lot of people and in my opinion he really deserve the name of Nobel peace prize winner that he received and we must always rewards these kind of people to encourage other and show them how the history will always remember there favors on the society. The result of all what he did is that most of Russian people loved him and that what is important that the society wants you to be in the man who's leading them.

Obesity and Overweight

Nowadays parents faced the most nightmares that probably could end their children lives. Obesity has dramatic increase in childhood. The research has shown that that approximately 40% of children in the United States are either overweight or obese (http://www.emedicine.com). After cigarette smoking, obesity is the second-leading cause of preventable deaths in the US (http://www.healthatoz.com). It’s lead to many serious problems such as, heart disease, high blood pressure and cancer. This issue has caused by many reasons. Firstly, the genes has the main role in this problem because study show that if one or both of parent are obese, the children will have a big chance to become overweight (http://www.healthatoz.com). Secondly, lifestyle could affect the health condition, if the person spend most of his/her time at a desk or on a sofa, and no exercise their risk for obesity is higher (http://www.healthatoz.com). Thirdly, some people overate because they feel stressed out or suffering from depression, according to psychotherapist Shelia Harbet, PhD” binge eating temporarily relieves the stress of negative feelings. Unfortunately, binging is usually followed by feelings of guilt, shame, disgust and depression”. It’s a huge problem that needs to be solved.
This problem has many ways to be solved. First of all, the family must forced the child whose obese to follow a diet not only for him/her ,this healthy diet must be followed by the entire family , beside it will help them to be in a shape and having the perfect weigh, the obese child will feel more comfortable and have the support that he/her needs. Secondly, having exercise every day as a family activity will help the obese child to lose his/her weight and in the same time they will be closer as a family.

smoking

Smoking has become a very serious problem over the years. People are spending a lot of their money buying cigarettes instead of necessary stuff. Smokers consider that smoking the solution or way to ran away from their problem, also feel relax and chill out. Maybe it’s become the sign for grown up. The research has shown that most of children who are between 10 to 18 are smoking for a ridicules reasons with knowing the bad effects. The adult smokers ignore the consequences that affect their life and also the other lives which are called secondhand smoke. Secondhand smoke are the people who don’t smoke but they sit near the smoker while his smoking. Smokers unreleased the damage that the one cigarette could do for their brain and lungs . it’s contain many chemical and dangerous items, hat lead to many different diseases like lung cancer , chance to early death caused by heart attack and nervous break downs and many others. It has many disadvantages on our planet too, its harmed the environment. I consider smoking is a very selfish thing that the human can do because everyone will suffered in the future.

My weekend

I consider the weekend is time for relaxation, meeting relatives and have some activities with the family. My weekend was so excited; on Thursday I felt in a deep sleep until 8 pm then I started doing my home works hoping that I’ll have finish so I can enjoy my weekend. Fortunately I didn’t have finish it so I was forced to do it on Friday. On the early Friday, all my family had a breakfast together; we discuss our plan for the next weekend. My father with my brothers they prepared to go to the mosque to pray but me and my mother with all my sisters we went to grandfather’s house to meet all of my cousins and relatives , that a traditional thing in our family, that we must have a lunch with all my extended family every week on Friday. After we had the delicious lunch that contains our traditional food, we went to the beach. In the end of this day, although I was very tired I consist to complete my homework and I did. On Saturday, I went to the marina mall to do some shopping and have pedicure and manicure. Finally, the weekend is like the break from the hard work and refresh the person even give him the energy to start his work.

Travelling to different countries is important to me. It changes my state of mind and mood. Last summer I travelled to London, it is the most beautiful city I have ever seen. I haven’t felt that I am a stranger walking in Oxford Street that is because most of Arab nationalities spend their summer vacation in London. Oxford street is a place where we can find every shop we need or we heard about before, like: Selfridges. It is a big amazing shop that we can find some famous companies of clothes, bags, shoes and accessories. Also, there is a place it called Knightsbridge. It include a very famous shop we hear about it a lot, of course it’s Harrods! Most of celebrities buy their clothes from there. It’s true it is expensive but not everyone goes there means that they will buy from it. They can have a look inside the shop and then they can taste Harrods delicious chocolates and pizza. I advice everyone who plans to go to London must have a look at Harrods and try their best pizza I have ever tasted. I won’t forget the Hide Park, it is a nice big park that we can do some exercise there like walking or running, it has lots of ducks that we can feed them bread, but we must be careful when we feed them because they might bit us. I also went to London eye; it is near the Thymes River. It is amazing place, I and my family took a ride on London eye, we spent 30 minutes on it and it shows us all of London city. Also there is a place called Madame Tussauds, it shows us all famous celebrities like: Jorge Bush, Princess Diana, the queen of London and many other celebrities like Madonna, they have done them by wax. I took a picture with the waxed prince William and Harry.

All about me

My name is Mariam, I am eighteen years old, I have 11 brothers and sisters, I am the ninth in order, my father was working in the military but now he has his own business. My two sisters are teachers and all my brothers are in the military. I have been studied in a Rosary School since I was five years old until I graduate. Now I am a new student in Zayed university, I am still in the bridge program to improve my English language that I am little bit weak in. my favorite food is our traditional food such as baryanne and haris. Also, I loved the Italian and Chinese food, specially the margarita pizza and the noodles. I enjoy doing some of my hobbies in free time, I like to swim, ride horses, traveling and also writing a poems, before I entered the university I had a lot of time to do my hobbies in any time I want, but now I only go to swim or ride horses in the weekend. I like to travel to many deferent countries in the summer to learn more about their culture and taste their traditional foods and have some pictures to be a good memory to remember, sometimes learn their language, I have visit some country like Germany, France , London and I hope to visit south Africa in this summer. I have many dreams and I wish that come true, I hope that I succeed in my future life so, I had planned to complete my higher education and have the master degree in finance, the reason that I have choose this major because I like mathematic subject also I like to solve math equation. I hope someday be succeed like my father and have my own company also getting married and have a lot of children.

Locked up the child as a punish

Locked up the child in a dark room is the worst thing that parent can do for their children. This kind of discipline becomes more common way that parents use to stop the bad behavior. sometimes the parent think that this way it’s useful but they don’t realize the bad effects that this punish will lead not only in the present also in the future. Maybe it will help to stop the bad habits that the children have but on the other hand the child will lose her/his self esteem and the confidence that they need to continue their life in a correct and healthy way. The child will suffer to have a good relationship with her/his parent; they will have a problem to communicate correctly. Even in the future they become more violent as adult.

Hamda my partner =D

My partner’s name is Hamda , she is eighteen years old . She is from UAE, Hamda lives in Abu Dhabi particularly in al wathba town. She is a new student in zayed university, Hamda still in the bridge program in level seven thus she didn’t make the TOEFL exam or the IELTS, that the university needs to pass this program. She lives in nuclear family, she has three sisters and two brother, her mother is a British so they are o little bit more open minded than the regular emirate family. She is the youngest one between her sisters and brothers .Her brothers still studying in UK but her sisters are studying here in Al AIN. Hamda was taking courses in swimming and riding horses too, but now she doesn’t have enough time to develop her hobbies because she has many exams, home works and projects to do. Hamda trying to work hard to pass this level. She likes to go to the library between the two English classes she has two hours so she prefer to spend her break time in something that will help her in improve her reading as a result she enjoying the book club in the university, not only at university she reads also at home. She organized her day and specialism some of her time to read . finally Hamda has some future plan to finish this program, complete her higher education , study the finance major and has the master degree also getting married and having children.
